Industry Collaborations
On October 20, 2024, Daffodil International University (DIU) and Tech Next Global formalized a meaningful partnership through an MoU signing ceremony held at DIU’s campus. I actively participated in establishing this collaboration, which aims to bridge academic and industry expertise to enhance student skills, foster research, and introduce industry-relevant curriculum updates. Post-signing discussions focused on future joint initiatives, creating pathways for DIU students to engage with cutting-edge textile technologies and sustainability projects.
On March 1, 2023, I formalized a strategic MoU with Anwer Textile Limited to bridge academia and industry, focusing on providing students with practical skills and fostering collaborative research in sustainable textile practices. This partnership enables students to gain hands-on experience through internships and workshops, while faculty benefit from continuous professional development aligned with industry trends. Anwer Textile Limited gains access to a pipeline of skilled graduates, ready to meet industry demands. Together, we aim to drive innovation in textile engineering, ensuring that our academic programs remain relevant and impactful in preparing future professionals.
On December 17, 2022, the Department of Textile Engineering at Daffodil International University (DIU) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with PURBANI Group. This collaboration aims to enhance academic and industry integration, providing students with practical exposure and aligning academic curricula with industry standards. The MoA facilitates joint research initiatives, internships, and workshops, fostering a symbiotic relationship between DIU and PURBANI Group.
Industry Visit:
On July 7, 2024, we organized an educational visit to Universal Denim Ltd., located in Square Masterbari, Valuka, Mymensingh. This program provided valuable industry exposure to students, allowing them to observe denim production processes and gain insights into contemporary textile practices. For this visit, one DIU AC bus was arranged to accommodate the group comfortably.
On July 14, 2024, my colleagues and I visited NZ Denim Limited of NZ TEX GROUP, where we explored advanced denim manufacturing processes, sustainability practices, and state-of-the-art machinery. This visit offered us valuable insights into real-world textile production and emphasized the importance of connecting academic knowledge with industry expertise.
On May 21, 2022, I led a group of approximately 25 students on an educational visit to Amber Denim Limited. This experience offered us an invaluable opportunity to observe the intricate denim manufacturing processes and cutting-edge technologies in action, deepening our understanding of industry standards and innovations in textile production.
My visit to ACS Textile Limited offered a firsthand look at their advanced production processes and commitment to quality in textile manufacturing. Observing their state-of-the-art machinery and sustainable practices deepened my understanding of the industry and its impact. This experience enhanced my appreciation for the textile sector and inspired me to explore further innovations in manufacturing.
I supervised a visit to Tamai Knit Fashion Limited in Narayanganj, Bangladesh for 45 students, providing them with practical exposure to textile manufacturing. The visit covered all key stages of production, from design and fabric processing to the final garment assembly. Students had the opportunity to observe industry-leading technologies and sustainable practices employed by the factory, offering them valuable insights into the operational side of the textile industry. Discussions on challenges, innovations, and sustainability in textile production were also part of the experience. This visit significantly enhanced students' understanding of the textile sector, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices.
